Aim:- to provide a healthy food to poor at a very
low cost
About Scheme
Annapurna Yojana,a new scheme to provide
healthy food to poor families. the state government of Madhya Pradesh is
inspired from the Tamilnadu’s
Amma Canteen scheme
The scheme will be announced in Bhopal on
the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay by our honorable cheif
minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan
The government will spent Rs 1,000 crore for
implementation of the scheme.Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana will benefit 74 lakh
families
. The Rs. 10 Thali which would be provided
under the Annapurna Yojana would comprise of Roti, Dal, Sabji, Rice and Pickle.
The yojana implemented form June 1, 2013
will provide wheat and iodised salt at the rate of Re 1 per kg and rice at Rs 2
per kg to antyodaya, BPL, destitute elderly BPL persons. Wheat at Rs 2 per kg
and rice at Rs 3 per kg was being provided to antyodaya families and Rs 3 per
kg and Rs. 4.50 per kg, respectively to BPL families. This Yojana is generally beneficial
for BPL and antyodaya families
The objective of government indirectly
affects the middle class because the are facing a problem of rising price of food which brings effect on their
budgets but their aim is to provide the food to poor so that they cannot die
because of starvation and also increase the healthy people in the state.
Madhya Pradesh will be the first state after
Chhattisgarh to provide food grains at such special concessional rates.
It is special to note that Madhya Pradesh is
receiving food grains from the UnionGovernment at the rate of rupees 5 kg. and
rice for rupees 6.5 kg. The government of Madhya Pradesh also bears the
expenses for transporting these grains.
The government has also decided to retain
subsidy on PDS Sugar. This act of government cause a additional burden of 60
crore per annum on them.
Thus, the state government will bear total
annual burden of rupees 65 crore as a result of this scheme.
This facility is only provided to 89 tribal
dominant blocks.
But the review from experts in this Scheme
is not so good according to the action performed by our government.

It is the scheme to give food to the
people who cannot afford it . State
government of M.P is all set to launch a new scheme through which healthy and
good quality of food to the poor people . The chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will make a formal announcement on 25th September in Bhopal
on the occasion of birth anniversary of pt. Deendayal Upadhyay. This is a very
good scheme for the poor people and who cannot purchase it . In this scheme
poor people will get healthy and delicious thali for just Rs. 10 who are state
residents. This scheme will be firstly executed in cities like Bhopal , Indore,
Jabalpur and Gwalior. This yojana works to provide food grains on
economical rates to all the BPL families.
By this scheme 52 lakh families are
provided 20 kg food grains per month through lower rates. Each card member
takes wheat at Rs 3 per kg and rice at Rs 4,50 kg. The state government pay Rs
300 crore on this scheme ad more than 65 lakh families are getting its
benefits. Today’s condition of the poor
families has become even more bad since they do not have enough money to
purchase food, grains and wheat at the market rates.
This scheme is like a
blessing for a poor people who are suffering for food. State Government gave bonus of Rs 100 per
quintal on support price of wheat by the state government for prosperity of
farmers and the farmers and country as a whole.
Our Chief Minister, Shivraj
Singh Chahauhan said that this Annapurna Yojana has been launched to remove the
hunger of poor. Annpurna Yojana give them great relief by the problem of price
rises. This scheme was further proceed by provision of Rs 160 crores has been
reserved for this yojana.
