Advantages and
disadvantages of living in a media rich society.
In today's life, media has become one of the most used
technologies by humans. The term includes TV, internet, etc. No one can deny
that there is a drastic change in the life style of common man is all because
of power of media.
It has becoming more and more
difficult to escape the influence of the media on our lives.
Media is a correct example of a two faced coin that means that
media has its advantages as well as its disadvantages.
Advantages-
In the past, the speedy information
delivery was out of reach for us. But at the present time media has helped us
to gain information about anything at a faster speed which has been the great
tool for us.
Higher studies or a better education is now available or is in
reach of students in comparison with the quality of study material that was
available in the past. Media had played a very important role in it.
Distance is no barrier for
communication and information now. People can communicate with each other even
if they are miles apart. Media like internet has played an important role in
it.
Disadvantages
Though we have counted numerous
benefits of media, still we cannot overlook its ill-effects. Just by the way of
over-emphasizing, media often create panic for a useless and senseless matter,
when the actual status is very normal in actual world.
Media is very powerful which often
turns out to be non beneficial because sometimes media portray the opinion of
the majority and the public in a fake way.
Now a days, people has started
believing that whenever media suggests an alternative for any problems is
the only option left to solve that problem, which is not true and right all the
time.
To sum up,
media is the best supporting to the mankind in the today. But a human brain far
more better to any advance technology. We should not forget that technology is
the invented by man. So let them remain in our control, never ever authorized
any technology to rule yourself Your heart your mind , the brain power always
wins.
